Privacy Policy — ProSync Assembee Monitor

ProSync Assembee Monitor ("the extension") is a workplace productivity tool that measures time spent on work-related browser tabs for users who are part of an organization's ProSync workspace. This policy explains what data the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Who this extension is for

The extension is intended for employees and teams who have opted into their organization's ProSync workspace. Tracking only runs while the user is logged in to ProSync and clocked in on the ProSync Monitoring dashboard. Clocking out stops all tracking immediately.

What data we collect

While the user is clocked in, for each browser tab that is actively used for 30 seconds or more, the extension collects:

• The tab's domain and URL path (origin + path only)
• The number of seconds the tab was active
• The timestamp of the visit
• Active/idle state and tab-switch counts (activity heartbeat)

What we never collect

• Query strings and URL fragments (for example ?token=, ?code=, #section) are stripped before any data is sent.
• Cookies, form inputs, keystrokes, and page contents are never collected.
• Incognito tabs are never tracked (blocked at the manifest level).
• Sensitive sites — banking, government, healthcare, password managers, and personal email — are recorded only as "private" with no path.
• We do not collect personally identifiable information, health, financial, or location data.

How data is used

Collected activity is sent only to your organization's own ProSync backend, where it is used to build the productivity and time-tracking dashboards you and your organization use. The data is not used for advertising.

Data sharing

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside of the approved use cases.
• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Authentication

The extension authenticates with your organization's ProSync backend using your existing ProSync session cookie. It does not store or transmit your password.

Data retention

Activity data is stored on your organization's ProSync backend and retained according to your organization's data-retention policy. Local settings (app URL, API URL, connection state) are stored in your browser via chrome.storage.local and can be cleared by disconnecting in the popup or removing the extension.

Your controls

• Tracking only runs while you are clocked in; clocking out stops it.
• "Disconnect from ProSync" in the popup stops the extension immediately.
• Removing the extension deletes all locally stored settings.
